Since we are already aware that, Cybersecurity is a growing threat in today’s digital age. As online transactions and data interchange have risen, cybercriminals have discovered new ways to exploit holes in our digital networks. It eventually means we must take all the necessary precautions to protect ourselves from almost all types of fraudulent activities.
On 22nd April, our organization conducted a seminar on Cyber Crime Awareness Program and provided all their valuable information, related to certain topics of cybercrimes and how you can prevent them. The program covered a variety of issues such as phishing scams, fake job scams, safe online shopping, UPI scams, social media safety, and much more.
The session was quite intriguing and instructive, along with countless opportunities for the participants to ask questions and share their experiences. Real-world examples were utilized to demonstrate the dangers of cybercrime and the significance of exercising caution when using their devices. Participants were also given practical advice on how to smartly protect their smartphones and personal details such as bank accounts, card details, UPI, etc.
The significance of adopting strong and robust passwords along with two-factor authentication was one of the primary messages. These easy procedures will also be going to help prevent cyber crooks from gaining access to all your sensitive information. Another key message was to keep your software and antivirus applications up to date. Frequently updating them, generally includes critical security patches that help you to shield your devices from known vulnerabilities.
The program was a major success, as so many colleagues expressed their appreciation for how instructive and valuable it was. Everyone has clearly learned something new and felt more secure in their ability to defend themselves against cybercrime.

- Keep your password stronger, avoid using name and birth year on your password or 123 number, etc.
- There is no bank officially directly asking for any of your ATM information or any OTP details as per RBI rules.
- Don’t click on any unknown SMS/Email Link.
- Keep your Social Media Accounts Private.
- Use Fingerprint lock as app lock if available.
- Uninstall suspicious apps from your Smartphones, especially the ones you think were not Installed by you.
